60 Years of Leadership, Livestock, Legacy and Lore......

The Royal FFA received it's charter in 1957 under the teachings of Mr. Leon Bienski. Since that time, the chapter has seen remarkable volunteers, supporters, and students embrace the chapter and leave their mark forever in the history books of the Royal FFA Chapter. Former gradutes and members of the Royal FFA Chapter are leaders in their chosen professions. They are farmers, ranchers, agricultural reseach and development leaders, marketing representatives and elected civic officials. They serve their towns and communities as teachers and their country as soldiers. Former members exemplifiy the message in the FFA motto "Learning to Do.... and Living to Serve" by volunteering their time to worthwhile organizations.

The local Royal FFA Livestock Show has been a community tradition for 60  years and continues to grow each year. This great tradition would not be possible if it were not for the support of the many loyal and dedicated individuals who willingly volunteer themselves and their resources year after year. Since 1957, over $3 million dollars has been generated in livestock sales and scholarship donations through the generosity of the citizens of Brookshire/Pattison and surrounding communities.

The chapter is thankful to have such a supportive network of people to "Continue the Tradition" of Leadership, Livestock, Legacy, and Lore. The FFA Creed mentions a "faith born of agricultural education" based on a beleif "not of words, but of deeds." This promise was made many years ago at the first National FFA convention in Kansas City, Missouri and remains evident today in our local chapter as we celebrate the "Moments that Define Us" ...
